Role: Machine OperatorLocation: NewportSalary: £26,000Shift: 7.30am - 4.30pm (7.30am - 12.30pm)This is an excellent opportunity for a Machine Operator to join an established engineering business in Newport.This market leading company operates in a wide range of industries including aerospace, defence, automotive and transportation, employing over 4,500 people in 22 countries.Responsibilities: Production process operations processing customer manufactured parts that have been thermally coatedResponsible for quality of work and level of productionEnsure that components are processed according to the quality standards / process documents for each applicationInspect parts before and after processing to ensure preceding operations have been carried out correctly and to verify that your own work has met the required standardsTo gain a thorough understanding, through training provided and experience, of the factors that affect coating quality and be able to use that knowledge to ensure components are processed to approved methodsGood housekeeping of own work area and contribute to the 5S improvements of the working environment. Qualifications, experience and skills: The ideal candidate will have a production or manufacturing background and the ability to read engineering instructions and measurement techniques, however training will be provided for the specific tasks required for this role and anyone who can evidence an aptitude for this type of role and is keen to develop new skills will be considered.
