The Landfill Gas Engineer will Complete planned maintenance and breakdown response on the gensets/gas plant in ways that minimise downtime and ensure the completion of day-to-day operations and maintenance, including but not limited to, fault diagnosis, location, and rectification. Key Responsibilities – Landfill Gas Engineer
Commission/exchange generators and all associated equipment (ranging from the generator to the telephone line.)Work on and monitor the gas field to maintain gas control and sustainable fuel sources for the generators.Provide 24-hour emergency call out cover to respond to generator set failures when necessary.Complete air emissions monitoring and environmental spill control using spill control equipment.Compilation and completion of on-site jobs raised by site audits.Monitor and ensure that all sites are compliant with current legislation (including environmental legislation).Work with internal and external specialists in ways that resolve technical issues and concerns.Demonstrate a good working knowledge of the Company’s operations and maintenance standards, procedures, manuals, and stock systems.Execute generator and gas field maintenance.Maintain and repair all mechanical and electrical plant, including pumps and motors atspecified LFG facilities.Maintain and inspect LV electrical equipment.
