Job Title: Machine Operator

Location: Dursley

Pay Range/details: £15.27 per hour (double day shift, details below)

Contract Type: Temporary to permanent

A leading Textile Manufacturer based in Cam, Dursley, is looking for a Machine Operator to join their weaving department. The position is full time on double day shifts and after training the successful candidate will have the opportunity to join on a permanent contract.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will join the weaving department, operating high-speed weaving machines and ensuring all products meet pre-determined specifications. You'll work in a dynamic manufacturing environment, contributing to high-quality textile production.

Shift Pattern (Weekly Rotation):

Earlies- Monday- Thursday 06:00- 14:00, Friday 06:00- 13:00

Lates- Monday to Thursday 14:00- 22:00, Friday 13:00- 20:00

Key Responsibilities – Machine Operator

  • Operate and manage a variety of high-speed weaving machines
  • Conduct quality control checks and maintain production standards
  • Log and report any issues with sub-standard products or machinery
  • Maintain an organised and tidy work environment
  • Adapt quickly to new tasks and ensure flexibility in a fast-paced setting

Candidate Requirements – Machine Operator

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Organised, proactive and able to work efficiently under time pressures
