We’re attracting an experienced Site SHEQ Manager to lead Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) operations at a key FMCG supply chain site. This role is essential for ensuring compliance, devising and implementing SHEQ strategies, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Leading Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Well-being, ESG including environment and Management System compliance. As SHEQ Manager, you are a strong influencer and subject matter expert, business partnering with a large site operational team. Tasked with implementing and managing the SHEQ department strategy.

Your SHEQ function exists to ensure that everyone goes home from work safe and well,  to their families and loved ones,  every day!

Key Responsibilities: Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Manager

  • Oversee site SHEQ functions, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations
  • You are the subject matter expert, advising site leadership team of all SHEQ matters, operational and strategi
  • Partner with Engineering, Supply and Transport teams on SHEQ-related matters, to drive a standard approach to safety
  • Support on the launch and implementation of SHEQ wider corporate group project initiatives, ensuring that operational sites are compliant
  • Accident and incident management & investigation skills, allowing you to effectively analyse incidents, identify root causeand implement corrective actions
  • Conduct audits, incident investigations, and manage risk assessments
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Health & Safety, Environment and Quality policies in line with regulatory requirements
  • Develop training programmes, strategies, and processes to improve Health & Safety, Environment, Quality and Corporate responsibility performance
  • Conduct safety meetings with relevant stakeholders across all sites
  • Drive SHEQ training programs and continuous improvement efforts

Role Requirements: Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality  (SHEQ )Manager

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, and experience in high-risk industry environments, ideally complex and time sensitive FMCG
  • Grad member of IOSH
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Proven track record in SHEQ management within a fast-paced setting
  • Internal auditor experience preferred
  • Proven experience in a health and safety management role within a medium or high-risk industry, indicating a proven track record of effectively managing SHEQ programs
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, operationally challenging environment
  • Knowledge of Logistics/Distribution/FMCG/Manufacturing sector including familiarity with materials handling equipment (MHE)
  • Self-starter and empowered to lead your site function, everyday
  • Facilities, building property or engineering experience ideal
  • Knowledge and experience in ISO standards including lead auditor ideal
  • Working towards Chartered membership of IOSH
