The Role Senior Product Engineer

We have an excellent opportunity for an analytical mechanical engineering professional to join a prominent global aerospace business in a Senior Product Engineering position.

You will be responsible for resolving complex technical issues related to the design, assembly, and testing processes of production hardware.

You’ll be joining a fantastic team in a purpose-built modern facility where you’ll be able to showcase your skills and expertise in a highly technical and challenging product supporting role.

 

Duties – Senior Product Engineer

  • Analyse production data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain process control, enhancing efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Support product and process changes.
  • Technical input using APQP techniques to support new programs and PPAP submissions.
  • Gather engineering insight and communicate findings with suppliers and customers.
  • Specify new test equipment for product output.
  • Support sustainment team to identify issues across software, electronics, and hydraulics.
  • Conduct GD&T analysis of assemblies and components for non-conforming parts.

 

Background – Senior Product Engineer

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Significant experience in Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic principles.
  • Proficiency in PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams.
  • Experience in developing assembly and test processes and tooling designs.
  • Strong presentation and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of obsolescence management processes
  • Six Sigma trained or equivalent
  • Data analysis skills.
