Job Title: Mid Shift Operations Manager

Pay Range/details: £43,000 OTE + Benefits

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Omega is supporting a long-established and family-operated business within the foodservice sector in their search for an experienced Mid Shift Operations Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to take the lead within a high-volume, multi-temperature warehouse operation during the afternoon/evening shift.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing a team of Warehouse Supervisors and Operatives, ensuring efficient, safe, and accurate delivery of all shift activities.

Key Responsibilities - Mid Shift Operations Manager

 Manage the day-to-day operational performance of the mid shift (2:00 PM - 11:00 PM), ensuring productivity and efficiency targets are achieved.

Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to Warehouse Supervisors and a team of over 40 operatives.

Maintain strong operational standards across ambient, chilled, and frozen areas.

Track and report KPIs, highlighting performance trends and improvement opportunities.

Always Uphold Health & Safety and compliance standards.

Lead team engagement initiatives and foster a positive, results-driven culture.

Ensure smooth communication and handovers between operational shifts.

Drive stock accuracy, on-time dispatch, and process improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements - Mid Shift Operations Manager

 Demonstrable experience in a warehouse or logistics environment in a management or senior supervisory role.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct large teams.

Knowledge of warehouse systems, operational processes, and performance monitoring.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Strong focus on Health & Safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Desirable:

 Background in foodservice or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG)

Forklift or PPT license

Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement tools
