Job Title: Machine Operator

Location: Gloucester

Pay Range: £25,145

Shift: - 7:30am to 4pm (Mon-Thurs) 7:30am to 1pm (Friday)

Contract Type: Perm

My client a dynamic organization is looking for a machinist to join their team in Gloucester. To work across diverse, high-impact industries such as aerospace, defence, and high-performance automotive. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various different machines. You will be expected to ensure the production of high-quality components that meet customer specifications, with a focus on precision and efficiency. PLEASE NOTE TO BE SUCESSFUL FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE TO SUCESSFULLY PASS A DBS CHECK.

Key Responsibilities – CNC Milling  

  • Operate Beams Saws & Sanding equipment
  • Operate Haas/Fanuc-controlled CNC machines
  • Be able to read and work from Technical Drawings
  • Prepare and load materials and components
  • Work to specific tolerances ensuring these are accurate for each operation
  • Inspect and measure finished components, recording results using in-process inspection sheets
  • Fulfil daily responsibilities using our ERP system. (IFS)
  • Reporting any issues to their Supervisor/Manager
  • Take a proactive approach to managing their own and others' Health & Safety
  • Be flexible in their duties/responsibilities and perform other duties which reasonably correspond to the general character of their job
  • Adhere to all Company’s policies.

 

Qualifications & Requirements – CNC Milling

  • Experience operating machinery such as Saws, Sanders & CNC’s
  • Experience producing precision milled components from a variety of materials, mainly composite, aluminium & plastics.
  • Preferred experience operational use of Fanuc/Haas controlled machines
  • Ability to complete ongoing quality documentation, maintaining communication with supervisors and quality operatives
  • Understand basic measurement principles
  • Understanding of basic quality & process principles
