Omega is supporting an industry leader in their search for a driven and customer-focused Account Manager to join their team. The Account Manager is a critical customer-facing role for the UK and European markets, responsible for leading and managing both external and internal relationships. In this essential role, the Account Manager will drive growth by expanding core business with existing customers, while also identifying and acquiring new accounts and product opportunities to support overall sales targets and business expansion.

 

Key Responsibilities – Account Manager

  • Develop and execute a sales plan to achieve territory targets and manage the sales pipeline.
  • Identify and acquire new customers while growing existing business in the medical device and pharmaceutical packaging markets.
  • Apply "value selling" techniques to optimize pricing and establish strong, long-term customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Quality, Legal, Finance, etc.) to close new business and support customer needs.
  • Prepare and present customer and corporate presentations, aiming to create highly satisfied and loyal customers.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and ensure company investments are protected while commercializing new business opportunities.
  • Remote role with a requirement to be in the office once a fortnight.

 

Qualifications & Requirements – Account Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering or Science degree in related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional B2B sales/business development experience in medical market for a manufacturing company.
  • Understanding of applications and needs in medical/healthcare market; relationships with major customers in these markets is essential to the success of this role.
  • Functional understanding of medical regulatory agency requirements (QSR and ISO 13485) and Quality systems as it applies to medical devices and pharmaceutical products.
  • The demonstrated interpersonal skills necessary for interaction with other employees at various levels of the organization as a team member.
