Role Overview – Engine Build Technician

We are working with a leading motorsport and automotive manufacturer, and we are seeking a skilled and motivated Engine Build Technician to join our team. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work on high-performance engine assemblies and cutting-edge projects for a world-renowned client in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities – Engine Build Technician

  • Assemble and disassemble engine components, ensuring all parts are correctly measured and rebuilt according to detailed technical specifications and company standards.
  • Inspect critical components for accuracy and quality, adhering to established engineering processes.
  • Perform pre- and post-dyno checks to ensure engines are ready for testing or delivery.
  • Record and update build data accurately, ensuring all information is logged and tracked appropriately in the engine database.
  • Provide technical support as required by the customer, ensuring their requirements are met throughout the process.
  • Help train and mentor other team members, sharing your knowledge and skills.
  • Always maintain a focus on health, safety, environmental, and energy-conscious practices in all tasks.
  • Ensure full compliance with the legislation policies.

Key Experience & Qualifications – Engine Build Technician

  • Proven experience in engine building (mandatory).
  • Strong ability to work in a team, with excellent communication skills.
  • Motivated and flexible, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results on time.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for working with intricate components.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, including the possibility of unsocial hours and overtime during busy periods.
  • A relevant qualification in engineering (NVQ L2-L3, BTEC, ONC, or similar) is desirable.
