The Role – Quality Manager
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to join a successful, global manufacturing business working in the aerospace sector.
You shall have responsibility for overseeing an experienced quality team based at the facility in Reading and working to their strengths to meet business demands.
You will a representative to customers, suppliers, registering bodies, and other third parties for Quality related matters.
Duties – Quality Manager
- Manage and develop the Quality team, ensuring effective processes and adherence to standards.
- Lead and manage the process of Quality Management reviews.
- Oversee quality processes, drive improvements using Lean Management System (LMS), and ensure risk is mitigated.
- Serve as the primary Quality interface for customers and suppliers, ensuring quality and compliance.
- Non-conformance management to ensure prompt investigation and closure.
- Promote a customer focused quality culture in the site
- Contribute to strategic planning and manage quality metrics and KPIs.
- Conduct internal and supplier audits, address non-conformance, and ensure effective risk management.
Background - Quality Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related subject.
- Proven track record in quality management and process improvement.
- Relevant industry experience is desirable (Aerospace)
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of EN9100 and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to manage complex issues and drive process improvements.
