Job Title: CNC Machinist

Omega are working with a key provider of precision components and engineering solutions to the aerospace and defence, oil and gas, nuclear and commercial bronze sectors in their search for a CNC Machinist.

The right CNC Machinist highly skilled competent engineer with the ability to set, operate and program 3, 4 and 5 axis machinery to join an experienced team and to strengthen NPI capabilities.

 

Key Responsibilities – CNC Machinist

  • Setting, operating and programming CNC milling machines to include 3, 4 and 5 Axis.
  • Speeds and feeds for different raw materials; controls; programming; safety and tooling.
  • FANUC / Mazatrol control language would be preferable.
  • Lean Manufacturing.
  • CMM inspection and measuring would be an advantage.
  • Monday to Thursday – 14:00 to 00:00.

 

Qualifications & Requirements – CNC Machinist

  • Engineering qualification from City and Guilds / HNC or similar.
  • Programme – ideally using MasterCam.
  • Operate CNC milling machinery, fixtures and fittings, preferably in a highly compliant environment working to tight tolerances.
  • Use manual measuring equipment and competently read manufacturing drawings.
  • Operate Mazak 5 Axis milling machinery would be an advantage.
