Job Title: CNC/Manual Grinder
Location: Wolverhampton
Pay Range: Circa £40,000
Contract Type: Permanent
My client, a leading manufacture specialising in the aerospace and defence industry, is currently seeking a talented CNC/ Manual Grinder to join their team. This role requires an apprentice-trained individual with experience in operating and setting Manual Studer machines (S20/RM250) and CNC machines (Studer S33/S31).
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and set Manual Studer machines (S20/RM250) and CNC machines (Studer S33/S31)
- Grind and machine exotic and hardened materials with precision
- Perform first-off inspections and complete relevant quality documentation
- Carry out manual land grinding to extremely tight tolerances, with accuracy down to 0.00005"
- Set up and run multiple machines and processes, ensuring efficient and precise production
- Work within a 3-shift pattern, with a preference for night shift working
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and aerospace specifications
Qualifications & Requirements – CNC/ Manual Grinder
A recognised engineering apprenticeship
Mate grinding experience required
Previous experience within an engineering/manufacturing role within the aerospace industry
Good knowledge of machining techniques and appropriate tooling
Attention to detail and accuracy and process improvement
Using the relevant inspection techniques/equipment to achieve drawing tolerance
This role will require the individual to work a shift pattern, including nights and overtime when requested.
The role requires the candidate to be self-certified and a quality stamp holder after qualifying period.
